You and your opponent both have boards showing the same twenty-four characters taken from the comic
. You are also each holding a card showing one of these people, chosen at random. (Note that you might both have ended up with the same person.)
To escape from the clutches of Robot Merry, you must make a correct about the identity of the person on Robot Merry’s card.
On each turn each of you will decide to make a or to ask a question that should have a yes or no answer ... but Robot Merry asks a particularly diabolical sort. Fortunately, you have learned the secret of her diseased imagination!
To ask a question, choose some people, press the Continue button, and choose some more. This forms a question like:
Is your person one of Hester and Kimil
OR
are they one of Sera and Dave and the answer to this question is no?
Robot Merry must answer this truthfully. If the person is indeed one of Hester and Kimil, then she will say yes. If it is none of the people mentioned in your question, she will say no. Finally, if it is Sera or Dave, then in essence she is responding to: ‘is the answer to this question no?’ Now, if she says yes, then she lies, because then the answer is no and vice-versa. In this case her HEAD EXPLODES ... temporarily. So you see that your clever question secretly has *three* possible responses!
WARNING: Robot Merry will be paying close attention to the number of suspects you have not yet eliminated; and she will be asking her own diabolical questions. Make a correct before Robot Merry does!!
